The Hague’s Most Important Train Stations
The Hague has two important train stations, namely Den Haag Centraal and Den Haag Hollands Spoor (also known as ‘Den Haag HS’). Trains from the direction of Utrecht and Germany generally arrive at the former station, whereas trains from Belgium, Amsterdam and Rotterdam usually come into the latter station. Both stations are just a 5 to 10 minute walk away from the city centre.
Travel from Amsterdam to The Hague by train
Every 30 minutes a direct intercity train departs from Amsterdam to Den Haag Centraal. In little less than an hour, this train takes you to the heart of The Hague. It’s also possible to travel from Amsterdam to Den Haag Hollands Spoor. After stopping in The Hague, this train continues to Rotterdam and Vlissingen. Finally, it is possible to travel to The Hague from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport and Amsterdam Zuid. This train leaves four times per hour: twice to Den Haag Centraal, and twice to Den Haag HS.
Travel from Utrecht or Rotterdam to The Hague by train
There is also a direct connection between The Hague and Utrecht and Rotterdam. From Utrecht and Rotterdam, a direct train to The Hague leaves every fifteen minutes. The travel time from Utrecht to The Hague is a little bit over 30 minutes, while the train from Rotterdam to The Hague takes approximately 25 minutes.
