Kinderdijk Windmills is a Unesco World Heritage site for a good reason. These 19 authentic wind mills were built in the 18th century and are true icons that represent the Netherlands all across the globe. So do the scenery and landscape, which makes this a site that is certainly worth visiting.
How to get there:
Travel by train to train station Rotterdam Lombardijen. (There is a direct train from Amsterdam Centraal and Amsterdam Sloterdijk to Rotterdam Lombardijen). In Rotterdam Lombardijen you can change from the train to the bus. You can use line 90 or 190 heading to Utrecht toward Kinderdijk. You can use the Holland Travel Ticket, if you travel off peak, you pay 39 euro. Train and bus in all of the Netherlands is included. Your trip to Kinderdijk Windmills needs start after 9:00 PM.
